Emily Brooks
Emily Brooks is an attorney at the Khan Law Firm, Inc. She was raised in the Midwest, moved to California in 2014, and has been with the Khan Law Firm since 2015.
Education: Emily received bachelor’s degrees in Political Science, Spanish, and Latin American Studies from the University of Kansas and spent several undergraduate semesters studying abroad in Spain and Costa Rica. She went on to earn a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. During law school, she participated in the International Human Rights & Immigration Law Clinic, where she worked on a variety of complex cases and learned the importance of providing high-quality legal assistance to immigrant clients. She also completed an internship with the CAIR Coalition in Washington D.C., providing legal orientation and deportation defense to detained immigrants.
Areas of Legal Interest: Emily is skilled in handling all types of immigration cases, including family & employment-based visas, naturalization, asylum, and deportation defense. Her background and experience give her a unique ability to connect with clients from all over the world and understand the challenges they face as they navigate the complex U.S. immigration system. She is a zealous advocate and creative problem solver who has successfully represented clients in cases before USCIS, the State Department, Immigration Court, and Federal Court.
Personal Interests: Outside the office, Emily enjoys spending time with her two inquisitive children and exploring all that sunny Southern California has to offer. She is fluent in Spanish and has traveled to Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, Morocco, and most of Western Europe.
